Leading nationwide balustrade provider, Provista Balustrade Systems, has installed numerous Juliette balcony balustrade solutions to developments by Williams Corporation, one of NZ’s largest national residential housing providers, with further installations scheduled across the country in the coming months.
Provista Juliette-style aluminium and glass balustrades are designed to provide an attractive and safe barrier where upper-level slider joinery is installed. The Juliette balustrades installed to-date have typically featured a darker powder coat finish, in keeping with the joinery and other structural elements and secondary colour schemes that Williams Corporation prefer, but can be provided with any powder coat colour required by the project.
Having provided both aluminium baluster style and aluminium and glass Juliette options for some time, Provista have added two new solutions that have a new four-point connection system, as opposed to the use of their Gutter Bracket for the earlier solutions. The four-point system allows for two points of fixing below the joinery and two either side of the joinery at the required height of the balustrade. The proprietary fixings are installed prior to cladding, the balustrades then installed quickly and easily once cladding is completed.
The main structure of these new Juliette balustrades are now horizontal, as opposed to the traditional vertical post-based approach used to-date. The solution was developed to meet construction constraints around the joinery and framework on some developments, meaning a Gutter Bracket approach (with typically three brackets affixed below the joinery) was not possible. Like all Provista Balustrade Systems solutions, the new Juliette products are engineered to Extra High Wind Zone as standard.
Williams Corporation National Design Head, Nathan Veevers, comments "the new Provista Juliette Balustrades have fulfilled a requirement for a specific mounting approach to some of our projects and provide a good-looking solution that is in keeping with the style of our developments."
Provista’s balustrade solutions are very adaptable to different building types, looking great on modern or classical residential or commercial structures and, with the developments completed to date, have provided safe, practical and modern balustrade solutions that complement the design and look of the residential developments created by Williams Corporation and other major building companies.
Provista Balustrade Systems solutions are compliant with all NZ regulations and suited to A, B, E and C3 residential and commercial applications.
