Sorberfoam ALR is a reinforced aluminium faced acoustic foam with low flammability and smoke emissions. The aluminium foil provides a flame resistant, light and heat resistant face that also prevents the ingress of dust and contaminants.
The acoustic layer provides high sound absorption (particularly mid frequency) and thermal insulation. Its low smoke emissions mean it is suited for use in air conditioning and public buildings.
Its resistance to moisture makes it well suited for use in marine and industrial applications and also for use in tropical, high humidity environments.
The foam is hydrolysis resistant, making it especially suited for use in wet and humid areas such as marine, industrial and tropical environments.
Suitable for a range of uses: engine rooms in boats under Marine Survey; acoustic and thermal insulation for air conditioning duct work; acoustic and thermal insulation for plenum areas; power generation units; machinery and equipment enclosures; and car, boat, truck and bus engine compartments, fire wall and bonnets.
