FabriTrak and Armstrong Ceiling and Acoustic Panels in Takutai Square Westpac

To optimise acoustics in glass sided meeting rooms on various levels, FabriTrak stretched fabric site fabricated panels were used over plasterboard walls. A major feature of the building was different themes on each floor. As the theme changed, so did the fabric colours and textures.

The open plan and office areas used Armstrong RH99 Ultima 1500x500mm regular edge acoustic panels in Armstrong Peakform 24mm wide steel exposed grid. Ultima is a product with top of the line green credentials, excellent acoustic properties, high recycled content, and high impact resistance and durability. It had also previously been chosen in Westpac’s historic Charter House which is attached to the new building.

Armstrong Metalworks ceiling panels, with three different installation types, added another dimension and contrasting finish adjacent to both plain and perforated plasterboard and Ultima ceiling tiles.

Metalworks Vector Edge tiles 500x500mm were used on level one. These gave easy access to services above as they were installed in the standard grid. In other areas, concealed 500x500mm Metalworks clip-in tiles were used and feature 1500x500mm lay-in panels were installed in the boardroom ceiling space.
