New Zealand manufacturer Escea has recently released its DX1500 which is a rather unique fireplace that presents some interesting possibilities for the commercial fit out.

At 1500mm wide, with the option of see through double sided this fireplace has substantial presence. This frameless look of the fire allows for imaginative use of wall materials to create a unique and commanding focal point.

In addition to its size the other unique feature of this fireplace is the way it uses heat ducting to disperse the heat from the fire. This heat can be directed to outlets in specific areas or be fed into the building’s main ventilation system to be distributed as required around the building.

With efficiencies up to 5 star, and heat output up to 10Kw this unit not only looks good but can make a meaningful contribution to heating even a large commercial area.
