Accurate Specification of Pink Batts ‘Narrow Wall’ Reduces Site Waste

Designers can help reduce site waste and improve installation quality by being more comprehensive when specifying wall insulation.

“Our installers often get to site and find that the framing is at 400mm centres but the product supplied is 560mm width because the designer has not specified a narrow wall product,” says Vaughan Banfield, PinkFit Operational Performance Manager. “Most Pink Batts wall products are also offered in 360mm widths, so it’s frustrating to have to cut standard size product and create waste — not to mention the time it saves getting the right product for the job.”

When used with 400mm centre framing, Pink Batts “Narrow Wall” provides a range of products that are correctly sized to fit within the dimensions of the framing cavity and decrease the number of cuts needed on site to install the insulation. This reduces waste, improves the quality of the work and reduces the time taken to get the job completed.
