Sustainability
GreenStuf products keep people comfortable in the built environment and their day-to-day lives. And by doing their part to look after the wider environment, GreenStuf ensure it can be enjoyed for generations to come. That's why sustainability is at the centre of everything they do. Crafted from a minimum of 85% recycled polyester fibre and reusable and recyclable at end-of-life, GreenStuf is designed for longevity and durability, ensuring it remains effective for decades. This longevity reduces the need for replacements, decreasing resource consumption and waste generation over time. The GreenStuf Takeback Programme supports this by recycling reclaimed GreenStuf insulation, offcuts, and packaging that are no longer needed, into new insulation.
With GreenStuf, you’re not just investing in superior insulation — you’re investing in Kiwi buildings and communities, a win-win for both people and the planet.
Quality
Unlike some traditional insulation materials that settle and degrade over time, GreenStuf is designed for longevity. Backed by a 50-year product durability warranty, it maintains its performance and provides consistent thermal comfort year after year. GreenStuf upholds strict manufacturing processes and has a team of experts to oversee product testing, ensuring every batch meets the highest standards, and exceeds the requirements of the New Zealand Building Code, to ensure our buildings stay insulated and protected.
Safety
GreenStuf polyester insulation is independently fire-tested and assessed to meet the rigorous standards of the New Zealand Building Code, including those for downlights. It’s also safe to touch, made from 100% polyester without harmful chemicals like formaldehyde-based binders, it's gentle on the skin, so you can say goodbye to protective clothing.
Innovation
Innovation lies at the heart of GreenStuf’s commitment to sustainability. Beyond creating a product that minimises environmental impact, GreenStuf pioneers initiatives such as the Takeback Programme, ensuring responsible product stewardship even after products leave the factory floor. Through the Takeback Programme, insulation site waste, offcuts and trimmings are collected and repurposed into new insulation materials, diverting them from landfills and closing the loop on waste.
But innovation doesn't stop there; with new developments like Sound Solution Classic Reclaimed, made from 100% reclaimed insulation and textile materials, GreenStuf pushes the boundaries of material innovation. By utilising waste materials to create new insulation, GreenStuf demonstrates a dedication to continuous improvement and the exploration of new processes and materials. It's through these small, incremental steps towards sustainability that GreenStuf remains at the forefront of innovation in the insulation industry, setting a new standard for environmentally conscious practices.
