100% Polyester High-Density Thermal Wall Insulation
Description

100% Polyester Thermal Insulation is a high-density material consisting of thermally bonded polyester fibres. Suitable for wall insulation in commercial and residential buildings, segments are available in a range of R-values, widths and thicknesses.

Backed by a 50 year warranty Premier Polyester Insulation is moisture, insect, and vermin resistant. It has been appraised by BRANZ and meets all relevant requirements of the New Zealand Building Code.

These products are manufactured in New Zealand using a minimum of 45% previously recycled fibre sourced from recycled PET. It is free of harmful toxins and chemicals and is designed to be gentle on skin, without causing any itching or irritation.

Scope of Use

Premier 100% Polyester Insulation provides thermal insulation for framed or part-framed walls in domestic and commercial buildings.

  • Segments are friction fitted inside the framing cavity ensuring no gaps

Segments are available in:

  • Thickness: 70, 90, & 140mm
  • Standard widths: 360, 560 & 580mm
  • R-values range from R1.8 to R3.6

Limitations on Use
  • Must be installed in accordance with Premier Insulations' installation guide and other literature
  • Premier Insulation should not be crushed, folded, or compressed

Premier Polyester must be:

  • Installed and maintained in a dry protected environment
  • Installed in a building where provisions of NZBC E2 and E3 are met
  • Installed to the requirements of NZS 4246:2016: Energy Efficiency-Installing bulk thermal Insulation in Residential Building
Statement of Building Code Compliance

Premier Polyester is designed for the thermal and acoustic insulation of buildings in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) H1 Energy Efficiency.

When installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, Premier Polyester will meet or contribute to meeting the following NZBC clauses:

  • B2 Durability — B2.3.1 (a) — meets this clause will perform for a minimum of 50 years
  • E3 Internal Moisture — meets this clause 
  • F2 Hazardous Buildings Materials — meets this clause
  • H1 Energy Efficiency H1.3.1(a) & H1.3.2.E — will support buildings to meet these clauses
