Description

Metwood is a coating that is applied to aluminium panels and profiles, generally to provide a wooden appearance, but also offering patina and other finishes. Metwood provides the warmth and beauty of timber, while offering the strength and durability of aluminium.

Metwood is available in a wide range of finishes. The Interiors group of finishes reflects those finishes that should be used for interior use only, where they are not exposed to direct sunlight. These finishes do not carry the 10 year exterior warranty, however any of the finishes from the light, mid-tone, or darker finishes (which do carry the 10 year warranty) can also be used in interior applications.

Metwood can be applied to most aluminium products, such as interior screens, partitions, baffles, and decorative elements.

Limitations on Use

The Interiors group of finishes are for interior use only, and should not bet exposed to direct sunlight
These finishes do not carry the 10 year warranty of the exterior finishes
Any of the finishes from the light, mid-tone, or darker finishes, which come with the 10 year exterior warranty, can be used in interior applications

The Powder Coating Group has been operating in New Zealand since 1988, and producing Metwood finishes from its Penrose branch since 2020.

The key supplier to Metwood, namely Menphis S.p.a, has been selling sublimations films to companies such as Metwood for more than 30 years, and currently distributes to more than 80 countries around the world.
