Due to the durable and washable finish of these panels, they are ideal for a multitude of commercial and hygiene applications, which include retail, fast food, food tech rooms, abattoirs, pharmaceutical and medical areas that need to control background noise levels and reverberation times.
A good example of this is the Goodman Fielder food tech room, a busy training centre in the heart of Auckland city where 600 x 600 mm ceiling panels were fixed on a standard grid system, creating a clean and smooth monolithic look that also controls the reverberation and noise from a busy kitchen.
Triton Cloud SP Panel is a proprietary edge-wrapped, 50 mm thick high-sound-absorbing acoustical panel, faced with Sonatex glass mat acoustic facing, which is sprayed with silicone water repellent. The panel is vinyl backed with a concealed aluminum frame.
Designed as a free-floating acoustic ceiling panel or direct-fixed ceiling or wall panel it is ideally suited for moisture-laden environments and swimming pools, as demonstrated at the Norman Kirk Memorial Swimming Pool, where 2400 x 1000 x 50 mm panels were fixed to the timber substructure in ‘floating’ clouds with sufficient room to allow the free movement of air to prevent condensation forming.
