With this second certificate, modulyss underline their ambition to cut down on waste and set the standard for the flooring industry. Not only that, but modulyss’ recyclable ecoBack backing also received a Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold certificate.

Just like their Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold products, the Silver certified products are made with 100% regenerated ECONYL yarn; are equipped with an ecoBack backing, which is now also Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold; and are CO2 neutral thanks to the CO2RE initiative that offsets any remaining greenhouse gas emissions by supporting climate projects.

The Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold ecoBack is a specialised backing that is designed to contribute to the circular economy. Not only is this backing solution PVC and bitumen free, but it also contains a polyolefin-based layer with a minimum 75% recycled content. At the end of its lifetime, it can be disassembled and recycled into a first-grade new backing.
