Following the release of the Schlage S-6000 digital touchpad door lock, Allegion present the S-6800 with fingerprint reader.
As well as good looks, both models have an array of features, giving the homeowner multiple options to control access. By using either the S-6000 or S-6800 the home can be accessed by user PIN, card, fob, or stick-on patch — and there is also a key, if required, for manual override. In addition there is an alarm which can sense a potential door attack, and an auto-relock feature which ensures the door is locked if it is left unlocked for a period of time.
The new S-6800 has all of the features of the S-6000, but with the added convenience of a fingerprint reader. Very quick and easy to use, the fingerprint reader means there is no need to carry cards or fobs. The fingerprint reading model can store up to 100 fingerprints, as well as the 8 user PINs and 50 cards/fobs/patches that the S-6000 can store.
