Summerset St Johns is a newly-constructed luxury Retirement Village — located high on the ridge of Auckland’s Eastern Suburbs — with an amazing view out towards Auckland city and harbour.

This new build is a large-scale project, which is being constructed in five stages, with over 225 independent living apartments and 64 serviced memory care units, in multiple buildings ranging from three to seven storeys high.

SRP Steel Stud Internal Partition Wall Systems provided the perfect solution, where the speed of construction and lightweight, easy-handling ability of rollformed steel components helped make all the difference on-site, especially with keeping the various stages of construction within the allowable program/time limits.

SRP Metal Clip + Batten Wall Strapping systems have been installed, for strapping of concrete-substrate walls — where fine levelling/adjustment is required, prior to lining with plasterboard. The SRP Adjustable Wall Fix Clips are easily fixed in-place, and the selected batten can achieve varying depth dimensions (in 5mm increments), depending how far out the batten is set off the wall/ substrate behind.

SRP Concealed Metal Ceiling Systems are designed typically for plasterboard lining (internal ceilings), but can also be used in external soffits. There are 4 x SRP batten size options, including: 16mm, 22mm, 28 & 35mm, with wide 50mm face options in both 22mm & 35mm.

Steel Rollformed Products Ltd also manufacture/supply an extensive range of custom profiles (available upon request), including Angles, Brackets, Channels, Top-Hats and Cleats, of varying dimensions and thicknesses.

The SRP Top-Hat/Cleat system is designed for fixing heavier-weight sheet/ linings to e.g., Masonry walls, and thus allows for stronger/ more substantial bolt/ fixings — this complete system was also supplied for Summerset Village, St Johns.

The SRP Wall Strapping Systems are an adjustable clip + batten system, specifically designed for strapping and lining (+ levelling, for higher level surface finishes) of uneven surfaces such as: concrete, pre-cast, masonry, block or brick walls.

New Zealand Steel made GALVSTEEL® for framing is backed by a 50 year Durability Statement to demonstrate compliance with NZBC Clause B2-Durability, when used and maintained as referred to in the current New Zealand Steel's Durability Statement.

In addition, all wall profiles manufactured by SRP meet the required BMT [Base Metal Thickness], strength and durability requirements. All wall component sizes and gauges manufactured by SRP are to precise specified requirements as established by design, and will not compromise structural integrity and/or fire/acoustic ratings of a relevant non-load bearing partition.
