Enertherm PIR
Description

IKO Enertherm, provided by Outright Continuous Insulation is a high-performance, fibre-free rigid PIR insulation, faced on both sides with a low emissivity composite foil bonded to the insulation during manufacture. It is designed to thermally insulate the whole building envelope. These include applications for walls: concrete, block and framed, roofs: flat, pitched and tapered, floors and basements.

This high-quality reflecting facing to the PIR board consists of no fewer than seven layers, combined into a single layer. It is tested under extreme conditions in respect of water absorption, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and emissivity.

Key Features
  • Hi Density Product: bulk density ± 32 kg/m²
  • High compressive strength at 10% deformation: 175 kPa (17,5 ton/m²)
  • Thermal conduction coefficient: (EN 13165) D: 0,022 W/(m.K)
  • Flame propagation: The insulation complies with NZ 2122.1-1993
  • Water vapour diffusion: PIR foam: μ = 60 - ALU facing: μ > 100,000
  • Moisture Absorption Rate: < 1%
  • Behaviour under uniformly distributed loading: class C (≤ 5 % deformation at 80°C and 40 kPa loading)
  • High R Value for its thickness: example 100mm = R4.55
Scope of Use

Enertherm PIR boards can be installed in various applications:

  • Flat Roof: insulation for timber, concrete and steel deck and covered in a roofing membrane. Also includes tapered insulation to create a fall
  • Pitched Roof: Incorporated into the TriCore system: pitched roof insulation under metal
  • Floor: floor insulation (underfloor heating and concrete floors)
  • Exterior Wall: outside wall insulation (closed joints)
  • Basement: basement and cavity insulation
Statement of Building Code Compliance
